我聽說司法警察局有一個部門設有“親子鑑定”服務（即DNA鑑定），市民可以申請使用這項服務嗎？

本局刑事技術廳設有付費親子鑑定服務，若市民確實有需要進行親子鑑定，可於辦公時間內親臨司法警察局行政輔助中心填寫申請表格，並出示需作鑑定的父、母及子女的身份證明文件正本，有關申請經本局批核後，申請人將獲通知進行取樣及付費事宜。由於親子鑑定服務主要為司法機關及其他政府部門的需要提供協助，因此，本局會根據實際工作情況，對市民的個人申請作適當安排。

I heard that a department of the Judiciary Police provides the service of “parental test” (i.e. DNA test).  Can the residents apply for this service?

The Forensic Science Department of the Judiciary Police provides paid parental test service.  If residents do have the need to conduct parental test, they can visit the Administrative Centre of the Judiciary Police during office hours to complete the application form, and present the original identity documents of the father, mother and child who need to be authenticated.  Once the application is approved by the Judiciary Police, the applicant will be notified for sampling and payment.  Since the parental test serves mainly the need of the judicial authorities and other governmental departments, the Judiciary Police will appropriately arrange personal applications from the general public according to the actual work situation.

Disseram-me que uma subunidade da PJ dispõe do serviço de teste de paternidade (teste do ADN). O cidadão comum pode pedir este serviço?

O Departamento de Ciências Forenses da PJ tem o serviço de teste de paternidade com pagamentos das despesas. Os cidadãos que necessitam deste serviço podem dirigir-se pessoalmente ao Núcleo de Apoio Administrativo da PJ para preencher um formulário de requerimento e mostrar os documentos originais de identificação do pai, mãe e filhos que precisarão de efectuar o teste. Após a aprovação do requerimento, os requerentes serão notificados para realizar o teste e pagar as despesas. Este serviço serve principalmente para auxiliar os órgãos judiciais e outros serviços governamentais, portanto, a PJ autorizará os pedidos dos privados de acordo com a situação real do trabalho.
