    Physical harm or violent abuse behaviours between family members are classified as crime. According to the stipulation of Article 18 of Law No. 2/2016 – Prevention and Combat of Domestic Violence, the actor inflicting physical, mental or sexual abuse to a person with kinship or an equivalent level of relationship, has constituted the offence of domestic violence. Thus, to protect you and your family member’s safety, please report the case immediately, so that the Judiciary Police can carry out relevant investigation work.

    Consideram-se crime os actos de agressão física ou maus tratos aos familiares, pois de acordo com o artigo 18.o da Lei n.º 2/2016 (Lei de prevenção e combate à violência doméstica), “Quem, no âmbito de uma relação familiar ou equiparada, infligir a outra pessoa maus tratos físicos, psíquicos ou sexuais”, comete o crime de violência doméstica.
