涉經營為賭博的不法匯兌 本澳女子就逮
2025年4月22日中午，司警局有組織罪案調查處人員於路氹城區一酒店進行針對不法匯兌的巡查打擊行動，期間發現涉案本澳女子於上址向一名男客人展示二維碼，客人以手提電話掃碼及操作後，其確認相關人民幣到帳，兩人隨即一同到娛樂場帳房，涉案本澳女子將現金兌成7萬港元籌碼交給客人後各自離開，其後客人在娛樂場內以上述籌碼賭博。
基於有理由懷疑有人在娛樂場附屬設施內經營未獲批准的貨幣匯兌業務，故本局人員立即上前截查，在涉案本澳女子身上檢獲與犯罪有關的10萬港元現金及手提電話，並在客人身上起回賭博剩餘的6.3萬港元籌碼。經查，涉案本澳女子自今年1月起在本澳娛樂場及周邊進行非法兌換貨幣活動。
本局根據調查所得，以經營為賭博的不法匯兌罪將涉案本澳女子移送檢察院偵辦。
Macao woman nabbed for involvement in operating illegal currency exchange for gambling
At noon on 22nd April 2025, the Organised Crime Division of the Judiciary Police conducted a patrol and combat operation targeting illegal currency exchange at a hotel in the Cotai district. During the course, the involved Macao woman was found to be presenting a QR code to a male patron for scanning as well as conducting some operations with a mobile phone at the scene. After confirming that the relevant RMB had been credited into the account, the duo went to the casino cage together immediately. The involved Macao woman exchanged cash for HKD70,000 worth of chips, handed them to the patron, and they then went their separate ways. Subsequently, the patron gambled inside the casino with the aforesaid chips.
On the basis of reasonable suspicion that unauthorised currency exchange business was carried out by somebody in the ancillary facility of the casino, the personnel of the Judiciary Police immediately stepped forward to intercept and inspect. The HKD100,000 in cash and a mobile phone related to the crime were seized from the involved Macao woman, while retrieving the remaining HKD63,000 in gambling chips from the patron. Upon investigation, it was learnt that, the involved Macao woman had engaged in illegal currency exchange activities in Macao casinos and the peripheries since January this year.
Based on investigative findings, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved Macao woman to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of operating illegal currency exchange for gambling.
Detida uma mulher local por envolvimento de exploração de câmbio ilícito para jogo
Na tarde de 22 de Abril de 2025, o pessoal da Divisão de Investigação e Combate ao Banditismo lançou uma operação de combate à troca ilegal de dinheiro num hotel de Cotai e detectou uma mulher local que mostrava um código QR a um homem. Esse homem fez a leitura do código e algumas operações com o telemóvel, a mulher confirmou em seguida a chegada do dinheiro, em RMB, na conta indicada, e depois as duas pessoas foram juntas para a tesouraria do casino. A mulher converteu o dinheiro em fichas, no valor de 70.000 HKD, e entregou-as ao cliente, e deixaram o local. O cliente levou as fichas e foi jogar no casino.
Como havia suspeita de que se tratasse de câmbio ilegal, o nosso pessoal deteve imediatamente a mulher, na sua posse foram apreendidos 100.000 HKD e um telemóvel, ligados ao crime. Na posse do cliente foram encontrados 63.000 HKD de fichas, o restante valor ainda não apostado. Na investigação, apurou-se que a mulher efectuou, desde Janeiro deste ano, num casino local e nos arredores, actividades de troca de dinheiro ilegal.
De acordo com o resultado da investigação, a mulher foi presente ao Ministério Público acusada de crime de exploração de câmbio ilícito para jogo.
