涉相當巨額詐騙及將假貨幣轉手 港男落網
2025年2月20日中午，涉案香港男子相約事主到其租住的路氹城區一酒店房間內進行虛擬貨幣交易。在房間內，涉案香港男子展示港元現金，事主未有仔細檢查，隨即按指示將4.7萬個單位的虛擬貨幣轉帳至對方的電子錢包帳戶內，其後涉案香港男子要求事主先行一同外出用餐，待稍後完成餘下2.3萬個單位的虛擬貨幣交易時再提取現金，並將上述現金存放在房間保險箱內。兩人前往同區另一酒店大堂期間，涉案香港男子借故離開，事主等候多時發現對方失聯，馬上折返對方租住的酒店房間查看，獲酒店職員告知對方已退房。事主立即報警求助。
本局經濟罪案調查處人員展開調查，於2025年3月6日下午在路氹城區一酒店內截獲涉案香港男子，並在其身上搜獲501張面值1,000港元且印有“COPY”字樣的紙鈔，以及6萬港元籌碼。相關紙鈔經本局刑事技術廳進行緊急檢驗，證實全為偽鈔。經查，涉案香港男子於交易時以偽鈔詐騙事主轉帳後伺機逃離現場。
本局根據調查所得，以詐騙（相當巨額）罪和將假貨幣轉手罪將涉案香港男子移送檢察院偵辦。
Man from Hong Kong arrested for fraud of considerably huge amount and passing on counterfeit currency
Meeting the victim in a hotel room he had rented in Cotai for a cryptocurrency transaction at noon of 20th February 2025, the involved Hong Kong man displayed cash in Hong Kong dollars inside the room. Without carefully inspecting the money, the victim followed instructions and transferred 47,000 units of cryptocurrency to the man’s e-wallet account. Subsequently, the involved Hong Konger suggested that they go out for a meal first, promising to complete the transaction for the remaining 23,000 units of cryptocurrency later before withdrawing the cash, which he claimed would then be stored in the safe in the room. While the duo were en route to another hotel lobby, the involved Hong Konger excused himself and left. After waiting for a long time and realising that the man was unreachable, the victim promptly returned to the latter’s hotel room, only to be informed by hotel staff that the man had already checked out. The victim immediately reported the incident to the police.
The Economic Crimes Division officers of the Judiciary Police launched an investigation, apprehending the involved Hong Kong man in a hotel in Cotai on the afternoon of 6th March 2025. Five hundred and one counterfeit banknotes with a face value of HKD 1,000 each, marked with the word "COPY," and HKD 60,000 in chips were seized from him. An urgent examination by the Forensic Science Department of the Judiciary Police confirmed that all the banknotes were counterfeit. Investigation revealed that during the transaction, the involved Hong Kong man had used the counterfeit money to deceive the victim into transferring the cryptocurrency before fleeing the scene.
Based on the investigative findings, the involved Hong Kong man was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the charges of fraud (considerably huge amount) and passing on counterfeit currency.
Detido um homem de HK por burla e passagem de moeda falsa
Na tarde de 20 de Fevereiro de 2025, um homem de Hong Kong, combinou com outro uma troca de moeda virtual num quarto de hotel de Cotai. Nesse encontro, o homem de HK mostrou à vítima notas de HKD, mas o outro não as verificou detalhadamente e conforme indicado, transferiu 47.000 unidades de moeda virtual para uma conta da carteira electrónica do suspeito, em seguida o homem pediu-lhe para irem juntos a um restaurante e concluir a troca das restantes 23.000 unidades de moeda virtual, depois, disse-lhe que iria entregar-lhe o dinheiro mais tarde, assim guardou o dinheiro no cofre do quarto de hotel. Quando os dois chegaram ao átrio de um outro hotel, o homem de HK com um pretexto deixou o local, algum tempo depois, a vítima, como não conseguia contactá-lo, deslocou-se imediatamente ao quarto alugado pelo outro e foi informado pelo funcionário do hotel de que o cliente tinha deixado o quarto. A vítima chamou de imediato a polícia.
O pessoal da Divisão de Investigação de Crimes Económicos iniciou a investigação e na tarde de 6 de Março de 2025 deteve o suspeito num hotel do Cotai. Na posse do detido foram encontradas 501 notas, com valor facial de 1000 HKD, com a indicação “COPY”, e fichas, no valor de 60.000 HKD. As notas apreendidas foram submetidas a exame, pelo Departamento de Ciências Forenses, o qual confirmou que se trata de notas falsas. No interrogatório soube-se que o detido tinha feito a troca com notas falsas, para que a vítima fizesse a transferência, e aproveitou da oportunidade para fugir.
Com base no resultado da investigação, o detido foi presente ao Ministério Público por burla (de valor consideravelmente elevado) e passagem de moeda falsa.
