兩男子涉將假貨幣轉手法辦
2025年2月24日晚，涉案香港男子到路氹城區一娛樂場帳房，要求將數捆面值1,000港元的紙鈔兌換成籌碼，帳房職員隨即以驗鈔機檢驗，惟全數共409張紙鈔均無法通過檢驗，並發現該批紙鈔與真鈔有別，懷疑有人行使偽鈔，故立即報警求助。
經本局刑事技術廳對有關紙鈔進行緊急檢驗，證實全為偽鈔。
調查期間，本局經濟罪案調查處人員得悉有關偽鈔乃由一名內地男子交予涉案香港男子供作案之用，其後在娛樂場保安員的協助下，成功於場內截獲涉案內地男子。經查，兩名涉案男子聲稱受內地上線指使，由涉案內地男子在內地接收紙鈔後將之帶到本澳作案，倘若事成每人可獲3,000元人民幣報酬。
本局根據調查所得，以將假貨幣轉手罪將兩名涉案男子移送檢察院偵辦，並繼續追查涉案偽鈔來源。
Two men nabbed for passing counterfeit currency
On the night of 24th February 2025, the involved Hong Kong man requested to exchange stacks of HKD 1,000 banknotes into casino chips at the cage of a casino in Cotai district. Staff person of the cage immediately examined the banknotes with currency detector, but none of the 409 banknotes passed the examination, and the batch of banknotes were also found different from real banknotes. Suspecting that someone was using counterfeit banknotes, a police report was immediately made.
The Forensic Science Department of the Judiciary Police conducted an urgent examination on the banknotes, which were all proven counterfeit.
During the investigation, personnel of the Economic Crimes Division of the Judiciary Police learnt that the counterfeit banknotes were handed to the involved Hong Kong man for perpetration by a mainland man, who was later intercepted successfully in the casino with the assistance of the security guard of the casino. After investigation, the two involved men stated that they were instructed to commit the crime in Macao by an upper-level member in the mainland, with the involved mainland man receiving the banknotes in the mainland and bringing them to Macao. Each of them would be rewarded RMB 3,000 if they succeeded in the perpetration.
Based on investigative findings, the Judiciary Police transferred the two involved men to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of passing counterfeit currency, while continuing to pursue the origin of the involved counterfeit banknotes.

Na noite de 24 de Fevereiro de 2025, um homem de Hong Kong foi à tesouraria dum casino do Cotai e pediu para trocar alguns blocos de notas de 1.000 HKD em fichas de jogo, quando o funcionário examinou as notas através do detector de dinheiro falso, viu que todas as 409 notas não passaram na inspecção e eram diferentes do dinheiro verdadeiro, suspeitou que o homem estava a usar notas falsas e chamou a polícia.
O Departamento de Ciências Forenses efectuou um exame urgente às notas e confirmou que eram todas falsas.
Na investigação, o pessoal da Divisão de Investigação de Crimes Económicos verificou que as referidas notas tinham sido entregues, por um homem da China continental, ao homem de HK para tentar trocá-las. Mais tarde, com a assistência dos seguranças do casino, conseguimos deter o suspeito. No interrogatório, os dois detidos explicaram que tinham sido contratados por um membro superior na China continental, e que foi o homem do continente que recebeu as notas falsas e trazé-las para Macau, também disseram que cada um iria ganhar 3.000 CNY se o dinheiro tivesse sido trocado com sucesso.
Conforme o que foi apurado na investigação, os dois detidos foram presentes ao MP por passagem de moeda falsa, enquanto que a PJ continua à procura da origem das notas.
