內地男子涉詐騙妻子11萬被捕
一名內地男子涉嫌於2月6日致電內地的妻子，訛稱其在本澳借款賭博欠下11萬元人民幣，被高利貸集團禁錮及扣起身份證明文件，要求妻子匯款到其銀行帳戶以償還債務。他為營造失聯假象還將手提電話關閉。妻子信以為真，遂按指示匯款，並將事件通知小叔，小叔向本局報案。本局接報展開調查，發現該內地男子根本沒有欠下高利貸，其編造謊言只為向妻子騙取賭本，於是將其拘捕，以巨額詐騙罪名將其移交檢察院處理。
Mainland man arrested for defrauding his wife of RMB110,000
A mainland man was suspected to have called his wife who was in the mainland on February 6th, falsely claiming that he borrowed money for gambling in Macao and ran into a debt of RMB110,000, and was detained by the usury syndicate and his identification documents were withheld. He requested his wife to remit money to his bank account in order to pay off his debt. He even switched off his mobile phone to create a false impression of contact lost. His wife took it for real and thus made remittance according to instructions, and informed her brother-in-law who then reported to the Judiciary Police. Having received the report, the Judiciary Police initiated investigation and found that the mainland man had not owed debt to a usury syndicate at all, and he made up lies just to defraud his wife of money for gambling. He was therefore arrested and was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of massive fraud.

No dia 6 de Fevereiro, um homem da China continental telefonou à sua esposa que estava na China, alegando que tinha contraido em Macau uma dívida de jogo de 110 mil RMB, estaria sob sequestro por uma rede de agiotagem com os documentos de identificação retidos, pediu então à esposa para fazer uma transferência bancária que lhe permitisse pagar a dívida. O homem desligou imediatamente o telemóvel para tornar a coisa ainda mais credível. A esposa acreditou, fez a transferência de acordo com as indicações e comunicou o facto ao cunhado, o qual fez queixa à PJ. Durante a investigação, descobriu-se que o indivíduo não tinha nenhuma dívida, tinha simplesmente enganado a mulher tentando arranjar dinheiro para jogar. O detido foi presente ao MP por burla (de valor elevado).
