本局接獲路氹區某酒店報案，指懷疑一名前台職員在當值期間盜取五個公司專門存放顧客交收款項的現金錢袋，合共約24萬港元及澳門元。本局調查後拘捕涉案男外僱，在其住所搜獲被盜去之錢袋和小量零錢，其承認於8月31日和9月1日先後三次利用工作之便進行盜竊，有關款項全數在賭場輸清，本局以加重盜竊及信任之濫用罪名將其移交檢察院處理。

The Judiciary Police received a complaint from a hotel in the COTAI district. Being on duty, a front desk employee was suspected to have stolen 5 cash bags which were used to keep clients’ transaction money, totaling around 240,000.00 Hong Kong dollars and Patacas. After our investigation, the male foreign worker involved was arrested and the stolen bags and small amount of money were found in his residence. He confessed that he had taken advantage of his job to commit theft for 3 times on August 31 and September 1 respectively. All the money had been gambled away in the casino. He was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office with the charges of aggravated theft and abuse of trust.
Detido funcionário de hotel por furtar 240 mil entre HKD e MOP
A PJ recebeu uma denúncia dum hotel de Cotai, indicando que um funcionário da recepção, durante o serviço, teria furtado os sacos onde cinco diferentes empresas depositavam o dinheiro dos pagamentos dos clientes, que continham um total de 240 mil entre HKD e MOP. Após averiguações, foi identificado como suspeito um empregado do hotel, não residente e no seu apartamento foram encontrados os sacos furtados e outro dinheiro em trocos. O detido confessou o furto, explicando que, terá aproveitado das suas funções, para ter furtado aqueles sacos, em três vezes diferentes, nos dias 31 de Agosto e 1 de Setembro, tendo perdido todo o dinheiro no jogo. O indivíduo foi presente ao MP por furto qualificado e abuso de confiança.
