“Judiciary Police Day 2026” event series concluded successfully

The Judiciary Police held its “Judiciary Police Day” activity on 17th July 2026. The award presentation ceremony took place that morning. Secretary for Security CHAN Tsz King, Prosecutor General of the Public Prosecutions Office TONG Hio Fong, Director of the Police Liaison Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macao WANG Qianjin, Commissioner-General of the Unitary Police Service LEONG Man Cheong, Committee Member of the Macao Public Security Forces Disciplinary Commission TSUI Wai Kwan, were invited to officiate at the event together with Director of the Judiciary Police SIT Chong Meng. Guests including Chief of the Office of Secretary for Security LAM In Sang, Chief of the Office of the Prosecutor General WONG Hio Nam and Assistant to Commissioner-General of the Unitary Police Service Luís LEONG also attended the event. At the ceremony, Director SIT Chong Meng summarised the achievements of policing work of the Judiciary Police over the past year, and the officiating guests presented awards including the Exceptional Merit Awards and Merit Commendations for Case Investigation respectively. This year, a total of 24 personnel received the Exceptional Merit Awards, 10 of whom were legally exempt from public disclosure of their identity. In addition, 105 personnel received Individual Commendation Awards, while 11 investigation teams, 6 work teams, and the team participating in the work related to the “National Security Education Exhibition 2026” received Group Commendation Awards.

This year’s “Judiciary Police Day” added a new “United Against Crime Award” presentation ceremony to commend schools, community organisations, enterprises, and individuals that actively supported the police over the past year in preventing and combatting crime, as well as assisting with national security and police publicity, with a total of 15 units or individuals receiving the awards.

The “Judiciary Police Day” gala dinner was held that evening, attended by Secretary for Security, Prosecutor General, Commissioner Against Corruption, Commissioner-General of the Unitary Police Service, Director-General of Customs Service, Vice President of the Legislative Assembly of the Macao SAR, as well as representatives of offices of the Central People’s Government in Macao, leaders of relevant units in the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong SAR and Singapore, alongside Executive Council members, Legislative Assembly members, judicial officials, Disciplinary Commission members of the Macao SAR, officials of the Macao SAR government departments, media organisations, and people from all walks of life. During the gala dinner, the Judiciary Police premiered the video “Judiciary Police in Action 2026”, and joint performances by the Secretary for Security Band, Youth Leaders for Community Safety Project, and trainees of Junior Anti-crime Pioneers brought a vibrant energy to the evening. This greatly promoted mutual trust and engagement between the Judiciary Police, domestic and overseas law enforcement agencies, and all sectors of society, playing a positive role in consolidating regional security and stability.

Série de actividades do “Dia da Polícia Judiciária 2026” foram realizadas com sucesso

A PJ realizou, no dia 17 de Julho, as actividades do “Dia da Polícia Judiciária” deste ano. Na parte da manhã, decorreu a Cerimónia de Entrega de Prémios e, para presidir a essa cerimónia, estiveram como convidados de honra, o Secretário para a Segurança CHAN Tsz King, o Procurador do Ministério Público TONG Hio Fong, o Director dos Serviços de Ligação para os Assuntos Policiais do Gabinete de Ligação do Governo Popular Central na RAEM WANG Qiangjin, o Comandante-geral dos Serviços de Polícia Unitários LEONG Man Cheong, o membro da Comissão de Fiscalização da Disciplina das Forças e Serviços de Segurança, TSUI Wai Kwan, juntamente com o Director da PJ SIT Chong Meng. Também estiveram presentes a Chefe do Gabinete do Secretário para a Segurança LAM In Sang, o Chefe do Gabinete do Procurador WONG Hio Nam e o Adjunto do Comandante-geral dos SPU Luis LEONG. O Director SIT Chong Meng apresentou os resultados do trabalho da PJ alcançados ao longo do último ano. Os convidados de honra entregaram as menções de mérito excepcional e os louvores ao pessoal com desempenho excelente na investigação. Este ano, foram entregues menções de mérito excepcional a 24 funcionários, tendo sido dispensada, nos termos legais, a publicação da identificação de 10 deles. Foram também entregues louvores individuais a 105 funcionários, e foram concedidos louvores colectivos a 11 equipas de investigação criminal, a 6 equipas de trabalho e ao grupo de pessoal que trabalhou na “Exposição sobre a Educação da Segurança Nacional” de 2026.

Este ano, por ocasião do “Dia da Polícia Judiciária”, foi criada a Cerimónia de Atribuição de Prémios “Unidos contra a criminalidade”, reconhecendo as associações civis e os indivíduos que, no último ano, apoiaram activamente a polícia na prevenção e no combate à criminalidade, contribuíram para a segurança nacional e ajudaram na divulgação policial. No total, 15 entidades ou indivíduos receberam este prémio.

O jantar comemorativo do “Dia da Polícia Judiciária”, realizado à noite, contou com a presença do Secretário para a Segurança, do Procurador do Ministério Público, da Comissária do Comissariado contra a Corrupção, do Comandante-geral dos Serviços de Polícia Unitários, do Director-geral dos Serviços de Alfândega, do Vice-Presidente da Assembleia Legislativa, de representantes das instituições do Governo Central em Macau, de dirigentes dos serviços congéneres da China continental, Hong Kong e Singapura, de membros do Conselho Executivo, de deputados à Assembleia Legislativa, de magistrados, de membros da Comissão de Fiscalização da Disciplina das Forças e Serviços de Segurança, de membros dos serviços governamentais da RAEM, bem como de representantes de vários meios de comunicação social e de personalidades de diversos sectores da sociedade. No jantar, foi exibido pela primeira vez o vídeo intitulado “A PJ em acção 2026” e realizaram-se várias actuações da banda de música da Secretaria para a Segurança e dos participantes do projecto “Líder juvenil da segurança comunitária” e do projecto “Guia juvenil para combater o crime”. A festa foi muito animada e contribuiu significativamente para promover a confiança mútua e a interacção entre a PJ e os serviços policiais locais e além-fronteiras, bem como com vários sectores da sociedade, tendo desempenhado um papel positivo no fortalecimento da segurança e da estabilidade regionais.
