內地男子涉搶劫就逮
2026年9月29日下午，涉案內地男子藉詞借款40萬港元賭博，要求內地男事主單獨前往其所租住的酒店房間。在房間內，涉案男子於洽談借貸條件及交收款項期間，掠去事主的40萬港元現金，並從背包內取出利刀指嚇對方。事主因擔心人身安全而不敢即時討回款項，只能在涉案男子離開房間後一直尾隨對方至娛樂場內，並乘對方將贓款中約9萬港元現金兌換成籌碼時高呼求助，驚動保安員前來處理。涉案男子見事敗即攜同贓款逃回案發房間。
本局第四統籌科接報後迅速派員前往案發房間並成功緝獲涉案男子，在其背包及房間內搜獲涉案刀具以及30.4萬港元現金和9.6萬港元籌碼贓款。
本局根據調查所得，以搶劫、不合理持有武器及其他工具等罪將涉案男子移送檢察院偵辦，並就案中有人涉嫌從事不法借貸而另立案卷調查。
Mainland man arrested for robbery
On the afternoon of 29th September 2026, the involved Mainland man requested the male victim from Mainland to proceed to his rented hotel room alone under the pretext of borrowing HKD400,000 to gamble. Inside the room, during the negotiation of the loan terms and the handover of the money, the involved man snatched HKD400,000 in cash from the victim and then pulled out a sharp knife from his backpack to threaten the victim at knifepoint. Fearing for his personal safety, the victim did not dare to demand the money back immediately. He could only follow the involved man into the casino after the latter had left the room. Taking advantage of the moment when the involved man was exchanging approximately HKD90,000 of the stolen cash for chips, the victim cried for help, thereby alerting security guards to come and handle the situation. Seeing that his plot fell through, the involved man fled back to the room where the incident occurred with the ill-gotten money.
Upon receiving the report, the 4th Section of Coordination of the Judiciary Police swiftly dispatched personnel to the involved room and successfully apprehended the involved man, seizing the involved bladed tool and the ill-gotten proceeds of HKD304,000 in cash and HKD96,000 in chips inside his backpack and the room.
Based on investigative findings, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved man to the Public Prosecutions Office for investigation on charges of robbery and unjustifiable possession of weapon and other tools. A separate case file was opened to investigate the individual suspected of engaging in illegal money lending in this case.
Detido um homem do Interior da China por roubo
Na tarde do dia 29 de Setembro de 2026, o homem do Interior da China, sob o pretexto de pedir emprestado HKD400.000 para o jogo, solicitou o ofendido, também do Interior da China, para ir sozinho ao seu quarto de hotel. Durante a negociação de condições do empréstimo e a entrega do dinheiro no quarto, o homem apoderou-se da quantia de HKD400.000 do ofendido e ameaçou-o com uma faca que tirou da sua mochila. Temendo pela sua segurança, o ofendido não ousou exigir de imediato a restituição do seu dinheiro. Depois de o homem sair do quarto, o ofendido seguiu-o até ao casino. No momento em que o homem pediu trocar cerca de HKD90.000 do dinheiro roubado por fichas de jogo, o ofendido gritou por socorro, alertando os seguranças. Ao perceber que o seu plano tinha falhado, o homem fugiu de volta para o quarto de hotel com o dinheiro roubado.
Após o recebimento da denúncia, a 4.ª Secção de Coordenação da PJ enviou rapidamente agentes para o quarto de hotel onde detiveram o homem. Foram encontrados na sua mochila e no quarto uma faca, HKD304.000 em dinheiro e fichas em numerário no valor de HKD96.000.
Conforme os resultados obtidos na investigação, o homem foi presente ao Ministério Público por roubo e detenção não justificada de arma e outros instrumentos. Foi ainda instaurado um outro inquérito na PJ para a investigação do crime de empréstimo ilícito supostamente cometido pelo ofendido.
