內地漢涉不法經營線上博彩被捕

本局早前接獲線報,指有人在皇朝區一娛樂場百家樂賭枱進行俗稱“電投”的不法經營線上幸運博彩活動。經調查,本局人員於2026年7月30日凌晨,在該娛樂場截獲一名涉案內地男子,並將其帶返本局跟進。

調查顯示,該男子於同日凌晨在上述娛樂場賭博期間,身穿經改裝的衣服,利用衣服暗袋內藏匿的手機拍攝賭枱情況,同時佩戴無線耳機與他人對話,按客人指示下注。經查,其進行不法直播投注金額合共約17萬港元,獲利不少於1,600港元。

本局博彩罪案調查處人員在涉案男子身上搜獲1件改裝服飾、2部手機、1個無線耳機、9.8萬港元籌碼、1萬港元現金及會員卡。

本局根據調查所得,以不法經營線上幸運博彩或線上互相博彩罪,將涉案內地男子移送檢察院偵辦。

Mainland man arrested for illegal operation of online gaming

The Judiciary Police received a tip-off earlier on, indicating that someone was engaging in the so-called “electronic betting” illegal operation of online games of fortune activities at the baccarat gaming tables in a casino in the NAPE district. After investigation, an involved mainland man was intercepted in the said casino in the wee hours of 30th July 2026 and was brought back to the Judiciary Police for follow-up.

Investigation revealed that in the wee hours of the same day, the involved mainland man was wearing a modified outfit in the course of gambling at the said casino and filmed the situation of the gaming table with the mobile phone concealed in the inner pocket of the outfit, while wearing a wireless earphone to talk with someone and place bets per the instruction of patrons. He was found to have placed bets of around HKD 170,000 in total during the illicit live streaming and gained a profit of no less than HKD 1,600.

Personnel of the Gaming-related Crimes Division of the Judiciary Police found a modified outfit, two mobile phones, a wireless earphone, casino chips of HKD 98,000, HKD 10,000 in cash and a membership card on the involved man.

Based on investigative findings, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved mainland man to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of illegal operation of online games of fortune or online mutual gaming.
