內地男子涉不法經營線上博彩被捕
2026年7月9日，本局博彩罪案調查處接獲皇朝區一娛樂場保安部通報，指一名男子在直播百家樂博彩機賭博期間，坐姿異常且長時間以手機對準屏幕，懷疑進行俗稱“電投”的不法經營線上幸運博彩犯罪活動，遂將該名涉案內地男子交予本局跟進。
調查發現，涉案男子於7月8日在上述娛樂場的直播百家樂博彩機賭博，其間以手機偷拍博彩機顯示屏，並利用娛樂場提供的紙張（俗稱“路紙”）遮掩手機，透過應用程式直播賭局過程，供身處內地的客人觀看並按指示代為下注。涉案投注金額合共約5,000港元，賭博積分獲利不少於200港元。本局人員在其身上檢獲5,000港元現金及一部手機。
本局根據調查所得，以不法經營線上幸運博彩或線上互相博彩罪將涉案男子移送檢察院偵辦。
Mainland man arrested for illegal operation of online gaming
On 9th July 2026, the Gaming-related Crimes Division of the Judiciary Police was notified by the security department of a casino in NAPE district, alleging that during the live-streaming of a baccarat machine, a man had been using his phone to target at the screen for a long time while sitting in an unusual posture. It was suspected that someone was operating so-called “e-betting” illegal online games of fortune criminal activities, hence transferred the involved mainland man to the Judiciary Police for follow-up.
Investigation revealed that on July 8th, the involved man gambled at the aforementioned live-streaming baccarat machine, during which he had been filming the machine’s screen secretly with his mobile phone, which was covered up by the so-called “score paper” provided by the casino. Through an app, he live-streamed the betting process for patrons in the mainland to watch and give instructions to place bets on their behalf. The involved betting stake was around HKD5,000 in total, while he profited no less than HKD200 from the betting points. The Judiciary Police officers seized HKD5,000 in cash and a mobile phone on him.
Based on investigative results, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved man to the Public Prosecutions Office with the charge of illegal operation of online games of fortune or online mutual gaming.
Detido um homem do Interior da China por exploração ilícita de jogo de fortuna ou azar online
No dia 9 de Julho de 2026, a Divisão de Investigação de Crimes relacionados com o Jogo da PJ recebeu uma denúncia apresentada pelo departamento de segurança de um casino no NAPE, alegando que um homem, enquanto jogava numa máquina electrónica de bacará ao vivo, se sentava de forma anormal e mantinha o telemóvel apontado para o ecrã durante muito tempo, levantando suspeitas de que ele estaria a explorar de forma ilícita o jogo de fortuna ou azar online, vulgarmente conhecido por “apostas online”. Por esse motivo, o homem em causa foi entregue à PJ para a devida investigação.
Na investigação apurou-se que, no dia 8 de Julho, o homem envolvido jogou numa máquina electrónica de bacará ao vivo no casino acima referido. Durante o jogo, filmou disfarçadamente o ecrã da máquina com o telemóvel e usou o papel fornecido pelo casino para cobrir o aparelho. Através de uma aplicação, o homem transmitiu o jogo em directo, permitindo que clientes do Interior da China assistissem e dessem instruções para fazer apostas em seu nome. O valor das apostas envolvidas foi de aproximadamente 5.000 HKD, tendo o individuo obtido pelo menos 200 HKD em lucros com os pontos de jogo. Na sua posse, foram apreendidos 5.000 HKD em numerário e um telemóvel.
Com base nos resultados obtidos na investigação, o detido foi presente ao MP por exploração ilícita de jogo de fortuna ou azar online ou de aposta mútua online.
