內地男子涉不法匯兌就逮

2026年6月11日中午,本局有組織罪案調查處人員在路氹城區一娛樂場周邊進行巡查行動,其間發現一名內地男子形跡可疑。經現場監視,該男子與一名非本澳居民進行不法匯兌活動,其後將兩人截獲。
調查顯示,該男子與對方交談後一同操作手機。確認人民幣到帳後,他隨即將現金交予對方。對方進入娛樂場後,立即將匯兌所得現金兌換成籌碼進行賭博。
經深入調查,涉案男子明知對方兌換目的為賭博,仍於當日以8,840元人民幣與其不法匯兌1萬港元。本局人員在其身上搜獲19.5萬港元現金、10萬港元角子機現金券及一部手機。
本局根據調查所得,以經營為賭博的不法匯兌罪將涉案內地男子移送檢察院偵辦。
Mainland man arrested for illegal currency exchange

On 11th June 2026, at noon, when officers of the Organised Crime Division of the Judiciary Police were conducting patrol operations in the peripheries of a casino in Cotai district, one mainland man was found to be acting suspiciously. Subsequent to surveillance at the scene, it was discovered that the man was conducting illegal currency exchange with a non-local resident. The duo were then intercepted.
Investigation revealed that after the man communicated with the other party, they operated their cell phones together. After confirming that the RMB had been deposited to the account, he forthwith handed over cash to the other party, who immediately exchanged the cash obtained from the currency exchange to chips for gambling after he entered the casino.
In-depth investigation revealed that the involved man had illegally exchanged HKD10,000 for RMB8,840 with the other party even he totally knew that the other party was exchanging for the purpose of gambling. The Judiciary Police officers seized HKD195,000 in cash, HKD100,000 worth of slot voucher and a cell phone on the involved man.
Based on investigative results, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved mainland man to the Public Prosecutions Office with the charge of operating illegal currency exchange for gambling.
