內地男女涉不法匯兌被拘
2026年2月26日中午，本局有組織罪案調查處人員於新口岸區一娛樂場周邊進行針對不法匯兌的巡查打擊行動，期間發現涉案內地男子於上址向一名男客人展示二維碼，對方以手機掃碼及操作後，涉案內地女子隨即將4,000港元現金交給對方，其後客人進入娛樂場並以上述現金兌成籌碼賭博。
基於有理由懷疑有人在娛樂場附屬設施內經營未獲批准的貨幣匯兌業務，故本局人員立即上前截查，在兩名涉案內地男女身上共檢獲與犯罪有關的90,000港元現金及2部手機。
本局根據調查所得，以經營為賭博的不法匯兌罪將兩名涉案內地男女移送檢察院偵辦。
Mainlanders arrested for illegal currency exchange
At noon on 26th February 2026, personnel of the Organised Crime Division of the Judiciary Police conducted a patrol and combat operation targeting illegal currency exchange in the vicinity of a casino in ZAPE district. During the operation, the involved mainland man was found showing a QR code to a male patron at the above venue. After the patron scanned and operated the code with his mobile phone, the involved mainland woman immediately handed HKD4,000 in cash to him, who then entered the casino and exchanged the cash into chips for gambling.
As there was reasonable suspicion that someone was operating unauthorised currency exchange business within the affiliated facilities of a casino, personnel of the Judiciary Police intercepted the two involved mainland man and woman immediately, and seized a total of HKD90,000 in cash and two mobile phones related to the crime from them.
Based on investigative findings, the two involved mainland man and woman were transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of operating illegal currency exchange for gambling.
Detidas duas pessoas do Interior da China por troca ilegal de moeda
Na tarde de 26 de Fevereiro de 2026, o pessoal da Divisão de Investigação e Combate ao Banditismo, na operação para reprimir actividades ilegais de troca ilegal de moeda nos arredores dum casino da zona do Porto Exterior, viu um homem do Interior da China a mostrar QR-Code a um outro homem. Este, depois de o ter lido e ter feito umas operações com o telemóvel, recebeu duma mulher do Interior da China 4.000 HKD em numerário. Em seguida, trocou esse dinheiro em fichas no casino e foi jogar.
Como havia razão para desconfiar que alguém estava nas instalações pertencentes ao casino para explorar actividades de troca cambial não autorizadas, o nosso pessoal avançou imediatamente e interceptou os dois. Na posse deles foi encontrado um total de 90.000 HKD, em numerário, e dois telemóveis, relacionados com o crime.
Com base nos resultados obtidos na investigação, os dois detidos foram presentes ao Ministério Público acusados de exploração de câmbio ilícito para jogo.
