內地男子涉加重盜竊被拘
2026年2月16日，本局接獲一名女子報稱在路氹城區某酒店房間內被男友盜去50萬港元現金，本局即時跟進處理。
經了解，事主與涉案內地男子為情侶關係，兩人於2月14日下午共同入住上述酒店。其間，事主將朋友託付的50萬港元現金存放於房間保險箱內，當時未有上鎖。2月16日上午，兩人先後離開房間；事主於下午獨自返回房間休息，醒來後發現保險箱內現金不翼而飛，其男友則仍未返回，懷疑被其盜取，遂報警求助。
本局第二統籌科經調查鎖定涉案男子身份，於同日晚上該名男子返回酒店時將其截獲，並帶返本局調查。本局人員在其身上搜獲2個面值5,000港元籌碼及1.3萬港元現金。
經調查，證實涉案男子盜取上述50萬港元現金後，前往中區某娛樂場賭博並全數輸光。本局以加重盜竊罪將涉案男子移送檢察院偵辦。
Mainland Chinese man arrested for aggravated theft
Receiving a complaint from a woman on 16th February 2026 that her HKD 500,000 in cash had been stolen by her boyfriend at a hotel room in Cotai, the Judiciary Police promptly followed up the case.
It was learnt that the victim and her romantic partner, who was also the involved mainland Chinese man, had checked in the said hotel together on the afternoon of February 14th. Her friend had earlier entrusted to her HKD 500,000 in cash, which she stored in the safe in the room, unlocked. The couple left the room successively on the morning of February 16th. The victim returned to the room alone to take a rest in the afternoon, only to find the cash in the safe missing when she woke up. As her boyfriend had still not yet returned, she suspected that he had stolen the cash and reported to the police.
Upon investigation, the 2nd Section of Coordination of the Judiciary Police identified the involved man, who was intercepted and taken in for investigation when he returned to the hotel that evening. The Judiciary Police seized two HKD 5,000-chips and HKD 13,000 in cash on him.
The involved man was found to have stolen and gambled away all of the said HKD 500,000 in cash at a casino in central district. He was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the charge of aggravated theft.
Detido um homem do Interior da China por furto qualificado
Em 16 de Fevereiro de 2026, a PJ recebeu a denúncia de uma mulher que dizia que lhe tinham sido furtados 500 mil HKD em numerário pelo namorado, num quarto de um hotel situado no Cotai. A PJ acompanhou o caso de imediato.
Apurou-se que a vítima e o homem do Interior da China eram namorados, estavam alojados juntos no hotel na tarde de 14 de Fevereiro. Durante esse período, a vítima guardou 500 mil HKD em numerário, que lhe tinham sido confiados por um amigo, no cofre do quarto, não trancando o cofre na altura. Os dois saíram do quarto em ocasiões distintas na manhã de 16 de Fevereiro. À tarde, a vítima regressou sozinha ao quarto para descansar e, ao acordar, descobriu que o dinheiro guardado no cofre tinha desparecido. Como o namorado ainda não tinha regressado, a vítima suspeitou que tinha sido ele a furtar o dinheiro, pelo que apresentou queixa à polícia.
Após investigação, o pessoal da 2ª Secção de Coordenação da PJ conseguiu identificar o homem em causa, interceptando-o quando este regressava ao hotel, na noite do mesmo dia, e levou-o para as instalações da PJ para ser investigado. Foram encontradas duas fichas de valor nominal de 5.000 HKD cada e 13 mil HKD em numerário na sua posse.
Na investigação, confirmou-se que depois de ter furtado os 500 mil HKD referidos, o suspeito os perdeu ao jogar num casino na zona central. O suspeito foi presente ao Ministério Público por furto qualificado.
