兩內地男女涉不法匯兌就逮
2026年1月22日早上，一名男客人在路氹城區一娛樂場吸煙室內，先後兩次以合共36,720元人民幣與兩名涉案內地男女兌換40,000港元籌碼，其後以有關籌碼賭博並輸清。同日中午上述娛樂場保安員截獲三人並轉交本局博彩罪案調查處跟進。經查，本局人員在兩名涉案男女身上搜獲25,000港元現金、131,000港元籌碼及2部手機。
本局根據調查所得，以經營為賭博的不法匯兌罪將兩名涉案男女移送檢察院偵辦。
Man and woman from mainland arrested for illegal currency exchange
On the morning of 22nd January 2026, a male patron had successively used a total of RMB36,720 to exchange HKD40,000 worth of chips, on two occasions, with the involved mainland man and the woman inside the smoking room of a casino in Cotai district. Afterwards, the patron gambled away the related chips. At noon on the same day, security guards of the aforementioned casino intercepted and transferred the three individuals to the Gaming-related Crimes Division of Judiciary Police for follow up. Upon investigation, the Judiciary Police officers seized HKD25,000 in cash, HKD131,000 of chips and two mobile phones from the two involved mainland man and woman.
Based on investigative results, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved duo to the Public Prosecutions Office with the charge of operating illegal currency exchange for gambling.
Detido um casal do continente por troca ilegal de dinheiro
Na manhã do dia 22 de Janeiro de 2026, um homem fez, duas vezes, troca de dinheiro com um casal do continente, no total de 36,720 renminbis por 40.000 HKD fichas, na sala de fumo de um casino do COTAI. Mais tarde, o homem perdeu todo o dinheiro no jogo. Na tarde do mesmo dia, o pessoal da segurança do referido casino interceptou os três indivíduos e encaminhou-os à Divisão de Investigação de Crimes relacionados com o Jogo. Na investigação, foram apreendidos na posse do casal 25.000 HKD em numerário, 131.000 HKD em fichas e 2 telemóveis.
Com base no que foi apurado na investigação, o casal foi presente ao Ministério Público por exploração de câmbio ilícito para jogo.
