司警局公佈一宗懷疑縱火案的調查結果
2025年10月28日早上，司警局接獲消防局通知，指中區一大廈旁停泊電單車的位置發生一宗懷疑縱火案，案中三部電單車被嚴重燒燬，火勢亦波及另外三部電單車，以及旁邊一間工程公司外牆的三部冷氣主機和一個玻璃窗。
本局第三統籌科展開調查，經深入分析排查，證實案發前曾下雨致現場電單車表面留有積水，且案發前後並無可疑人士出現，故排除蓄意縱火或由未熄滅的煙蒂引起火災的可能。另一方面，本局人員查知其中一輛被嚴重燒燬的電單車曾於10月26日及27日在維修店更換電路板及接駁電線，並於10月27日傍晚停泊於案發位置；經檢驗後發現該電單車的電路板及旁邊電線燒燬程度最嚴重且呈白化狀態，相信為第一起火點；有關電單車的啟動開關鎖亦未完全關閉，相信電路板不斷通電以致長期運作後產生高溫，最後因電力負荷過重而引起自燃。
綜合本局調查所得，有跡象顯示是次火警起因乃電單車機件故障引起。
Judiciary Police released investigative results on a suspected arson case
On the morning of 28th October 2025, the Judiciary Police received a notification from the Fire Services Bureau, indicating that there was a suspected arson occurred at the motorcycle parking space next to a building in Central district. Three motorcycles were severely damaged by the fire, which also spread to three other motorcycles, as well as three air conditioning units and a glass window on the exterior wall of a nearby engineering company.
The 3rd Section of Coordination of the Judiciary Police launched an investigation. After in-depth analysis and investigation, it was confirmed that rain had occurred before the incident, leaving water on the surface of the motorcycles at the scene. Furthermore, no suspicious persons were present before or after the incident, thus the possibility of intentional arson or a fire caused by unextinguished cigarette butt was ruled out. On the other hand, the Judiciary Police personnel found that one of the severely burnt motorcycles had its circuit board and wiring replaced at a repair shop on October 26th and 27th , and was parked at the location of the incident on the evening of October 27th. Inspection revealed that the circuit board and the adjacent wiring of this motorcycle were the most severely burnt and bleached, believed to be the primary point of ignition. The ignition switch lock of the motorcycle was not completely engaged. It was believed that the circuit board had been powered and running, generating high temperature and eventually leading to spontaneous combustion due to excessive power load.
Based on comprehensive investigation, there are indications that the fire was caused by a mechanical malfunction of the motorcycle.
Divulgação do resultado da investigação de um caso suspeito de fogo posto
Na manhã do dia 28 de Outubro de 2025, a PJ recebeu uma comunicação do Corpo de Bombeiros dizendo que tinha ocorrido um caso suspeito de fogo posto num local onde os motociclos estavam estacionados junto a um edifício na zona central. No caso, três motas ficaram queimadas gravemente, tendo-se o fogo alastrado também a outras três motas, e três aparelhos de ar condicionado e uma janela de vidro na parede exterior de uma companhia de construção próxima também foram afectados.
A 3.ª Secção de Coordenação da PJ iniciou uma investigação e, após uma análise e investigação profunda do caso, apurou que tinha chovido antes da ocorrência, deixando água na superfície da mota no local. Além disso, antes e depois da ocorrência nenhum suspeito se tinha aproximado da mota, pelo que foi excluída a possibilidade de fogo posto ou do incêndio ter sido causado por uma ponta de cigarro não apagada. Por outro lado, os nossos agentes descobriram que uma das motas gravemente queimada tinha substituído a placa de circuito e a cablagem numa oficina de automóveis nos dias 26 e 27 de Outubro e tinha sido estacionada no local do incidente na noite de 27 de Outubro. A inspecção revelou que a placa de circuito da mota e a cablagem foram as partes mais afectadas pelo incêndio onde ficaram também branqueadas, sendo provavelmente o ponto de ignição primário. O interruptor do arranque da mota também não estava totalmente desligado, sendo suposto que a placa de circuito estava continuamente activada, causando sobreaquecimento após utilização prolongada e levando à combustão espontânea devido à sobrecarga eléctrica.
Conforme o que foi apurado na investigação, há indícios de que o incêndio foi causado por uma falha mecânica da mota.
