涉經營為賭博的不法匯兌 內地漢被拘
2025年10月8日早上，本局有組織罪案調查處人員於路氹城區一娛樂場附屬酒店進行針對不法匯兌的巡查打擊行動，其間發現一名客人操作手機後，向涉案內地男子展示手機畫面並供其拍攝，隨後兩人一同進入娛樂場，涉案內地男子在帳房內將2萬港元現金兌成籌碼後交給客人，其後雙方各自離開，客人隨即以上述籌碼賭博。
基於有理由懷疑有人在娛樂場附屬設施內經營未獲批准的貨幣匯兌業務，故本局人員立即上前截查，在涉案內地男子身上檢獲與犯罪有關的58萬港元現金、30萬港元籌碼以及1部手機，並在客人身上起回賭博剩餘的2,000港元籌碼。
本局根據調查所得，以經營為賭博的不法匯兌罪將涉案內地男子移送檢察院偵辦。
Mainland man nabbed for involvement in operating illegal currency exchange for gambling
On the morning of 8th October 2025, the Organised Crime Division of the Judiciary Police conducted a patrol and combat operation targeting illegal currency exchange at a casino-affiliated hotel in the Cotai district. During the course, a patron was seen operating his mobile phone, displaying the screen to the involved mainland man and allowing him to take a photo of it. Subsequently, the duo entered the casino together. The involved mainland man exchanged HKD20,000 in cash for chips inside the cage and handed them to the patron. Afterwards, both parties went their separate ways. The patron then gambled inside the casino with the aforesaid chips immediately.
On the basis of reasonable suspicion that unauthorised currency exchange business was carried out by somebody in the ancillary facility of the casino, personnel of the Judiciary Police immediately stepped forward to intercept and inspect. The relevant HKD580,000 in cash, HKD300,000 worth of chips and a mobile phone related to the crime were seized from the involved mainland man, while retrieving the remaining HKD2,000 in gambling chips from the patron.
Based on investigative findings, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved mainland man to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of operating illegal currency exchange for gambling.
Detido um indivíduo do continente por exploração de câmbio ilícito para jogo
Na manhã de 8 de Outubro de 2025, o pessoal da Divisão de Investigação e Combate ao Banditismo realizou uma operação de combate ao câmbio ilegal, no hotel dum casino do Cotai. Na qual, reparou num cliente que estava a usar telemóvel, este mostrou o ecrã desse telemóvel a um homem do continente, suspeito deste caso, e deixou-o tirar fotografia, os dois em seguida foram ao casino juntos. O homem do continente trocou 20 mil HKD em fichas na tesouraria e entregou ao outro, e depois os dois deixaram o local. O cliente levou essas fichas e foi jogar no casino.
Como há razão para desconfiar que alguém teria praticado câmbio ilícito sem autorização dentro das instalações pertencentes ao casino, o nosso pessoal avançou e deteve-o. Na posse do homem do continente foram apreendidos 580 mil HKD em numerário, 300 mil HKD em fichas e um telemóvel, relacionados com o crime. Foram recuperados ainda, na posse do cliente, 2 mil HKD em fichas, que eram o restante dinheiro para fazer apostas.
Com base nos resultados da investigação, o homem do continente foi presente ao Ministério Público, acusado de exploração de câmbio ilícito para jogo.
