四內地男女涉高利貸就逮
2024年5月16日，本局博彩罪案調查處人員到路氹城區一娛樂場貴賓會進行反罪惡巡查，期間發現場內一賭枱上的四男一女神色有異，懷疑當中三男一女正在對一名男事主抽取利息，故上前進行截查。
案情顯示，男事主於當日以配碼方式向其中一名涉案內地男子借貸25萬港元賭博，條件為每當賭局勝出時須抽取投注額兩成作為利息。賭博過程中事主被抽取至少10萬港元籌碼作利息。
調查期間，本局人員即場檢獲借貸餘款45.5萬港元籌碼。
本局根據調查所得，以為賭博的高利貸罪將上述四名涉案內地男女移送檢察院偵辦。
Four mainland Chinese arrested for usury
In their anti-crime patrol operation at a casino VIP junket in Cotai on 16 May 2024, the Gaming-related Crimes Division officers of the Judiciary Police, finding four men and one woman at a gambling table acting differently, suspected that they were collecting interest from one of the men, hence their interception.
It was found that the male victim had borrowed HKD 250,000 for gambling from one of the involved mainland Chinese men in way of chip-matching that day, on condition that 20% of the wager would be withdrawn as an interest in each winning game. At least HKD 100,000 of chips had been collected from the victim as an interest during his gambling.
During investigation, the Judiciary Police officers seized the remaining loan amount of HKD 455,000 of chips at the scene.
Based on investigative results, the four involved mainland Chinese were transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the charge of usury for gambling.

Em 16 de Maio de 2024, o pessoal da Divisão de Investigação de Crimes Relacionados com o Jogo, numa operação anticrime, notou quatro homens e uma mulher com conduta suspeita a jogar na mesa de uma sala VIP, dum casino do Cotai. Suspeitou que a mulher e os três homens estariam a receber juros dum jogador, vítima deste caso, assim o nosso pessoal avançou e deteve-os.
De acordo com as declarações, naquele dia a vítima foi pedir a um dos detidos, do continente, 250.000 HKD emprestados, em fichas, aceitou a condição de pagar 20% da quantia apostada, como juros, em cada jogada ganha. Durante o jogo pagou-lhes, pelo menos, 100.000 HKD, em fichas, como juros.
Na investigação, o nosso pessoal apreendeu o restante dinheiro emprestado, num total de 455.000 HKD em fichas.
Com base no que foi apurado na investigação, os quatro foram presentes ao MP acusados de usura associada a jogo.
