兩名本澳男女涉公務上之侵占被捕
本局於2022年1月下旬接獲路氹城區某娛樂場檢舉,報稱一名荷官於2021年12月13日至2022年1月17日當值期間,先後17次盜取賭枱或珠盤上的籌碼,並由妻子協助將籌碼兌換成現金,娛樂場合共損失16.1萬港元。
本局經部署後於2022年2月6日涉案男子再次作案時將其截獲,在其左手掌內發現一個黏上透明膠紙的一萬港元籌碼,以及在其員工儲物櫃內搜獲懷疑作案工具,隨後查悉其妻子也涉案,在其住所將之截獲。
涉案男子承認因財困而利用職務之便盜取籌碼,再由妻子協助兌換成現金。本局以公務上之侵占罪將兩人移交檢察院處理。
Two locals arrested for embezzlement
A casino in Cotai reported to the Judiciary Police in late January 2022 that a dealer had stolen chips on the gaming table or chip tray successively on 17 occasions while on duty between 13th December 2021 and 17th January 2022. His wife had assisted in cashing out the chips, incurring the casino a loss of a total of HKD 161,000.
Upon deployment, the Judiciary Police intercepted the involved man during another perpetration of his on 6th February 2022. A HKD 10,000 chip adhered to transparent adhesive tape was found in his left palm, while suspected crime tools were seized in his staff locker. His wife, who was later found to be involved in the case, was intercepted at their residence.
The involved man admitted to have exploited his duty to steal the chips, which were then cashed out by his wife, out of financial difficulties. The couple was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the charge of embezzlement.
Detido um casal por peculato
A PJ recebeu uma denúncia, em finais de Janeiro de 2022, dum casino do Cotai, indicando que um croupier tinha furtado, por 17 vezes, fichas postas na mesa de jogo ou na roleta durante o seu horário de serviço, entre 13 de Dezembro de 2021 e 17 de Janeiro de 2022 e a própria esposa teria ajudado a trocar as fichas por dinheiro, o que causou ao casino um prejuízo de 161.000 HKD.
Iniciou-se a investigação, conseguiu-se deter o homem quando este praticou de novo o crime em 6 de Fevereiro de 2022, foi encontrada uma ficha de 10.000 HKD com fita adesiva transparente na sua palma esquerda e instrumentos do crime no seu cacifo de funcionários. Mais tarde, verificou-se que a sua esposa também estava envolvida no caso e foi detida na sua residência.
O suspeito admitiu que aproveitou das suas funções para furtar as fichas por ter dificuldades financeiras, e depois entregou-as à esposa para trocar em dinheiro. Os dois foram presentes ao Ministério Público por peculato.
