四名內地男女典當假鑽飾被拘
2019年6月3日凌晨，本局接獲新口岸區某押店報稱兩名內地男女以人造鑽戒充當真鑽戒典當，本局人員隨即前往押店將二人帶返調查；而根據本局同類案件的立案紀錄，該押店其他分店自2019年3月起曾遭多人以相同手法詐騙八次，損失合共26.7萬港元。
調查期間，本局再次接獲上述押店舉報另一名內地女子典當假鑽戒，於是到場將之帶返調查；當日傍晚本局在治安警察局協助下於關閘口岸截獲另一名涉案內地男子，並查悉其涉及另外七宗典當假金鏈案，涉案金額共約13.1萬港元。
上述四名涉案男女均承認犯案，本局以詐騙罪將四人移送檢察院偵辦，並繼續追緝其他涉案人士，以及深入調查是否有更多人受騙。
Four mainlanders apprehended for pawning fake diamond jewellery
In the early morning of 3rd June 2019, a pawn shop in the NAPE district reported to the Judiciary Police that a mainland man and a mainland woman pawned artificial diamond rings as real ones. The personnel of the Judiciary Police swiftly went to the pawn shop to have the duo brought back for investigation. Based on the file record of similar cases of the Judiciary Police, the pawn shop and its other branches had been defrauded by various individuals using similar modus operandi for 8 times since March 2019, incurring a total loss of HKD267,000 to them.
During the investigation, the abovementioned pawn shop reported again that another mainland woman had come to pawn fake diamond ring. Officers were thus deployed to have her brought back for investigation. With the assistance of the Public Security Police Force, the Judiciary Police intercepted another involved mainland man at the Border Gate Checkpoint on the same evening, who was also found to have been involved in 7 other cases of pawning fake gold chains, and the total amount involved was approximately HKD131,000.
All the four involved individuals admitted the perpetration and were transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of fraud. The Judiciary Police will continue to pursue the other individuals and further investigate whether more individuals have been defrauded.
Detidos quatro indivíduos da China continental por penhora de diamantes falsos
Na madrugada de 3 de Junho de 2019, uma casa de penhores situada no NAPE fez queixa à PJ, alegando que um casal da China continental estava a penhorar um anel de diamante artificial como verdadeiro, os nossos agentes dirigiram-se logo ao local e os dois suspeitos foram levados à PJ para investigação. Conforme o registo de casos semelhantes, verificou-se que, desde Março de 2019, diferentes lojas da mesma casa de penhores tinham sido burladas por 8 vezes com o mesmo esquema, sofrendo um prejuízo total de 267 mil HKD.
Durante a investigação, a PJ recebeu novamente uma queixa da mesma casa de penhores, dizendo que apareceu outra mulher da China continental a penhorar um anel de diamante falso, os nossos agentes dirigiram-se ao local e levaram a suspeita à PJ. Ao fim daquela tarde, com a colaboração da CPSP, foi detido, na fronteira das Portas do Cerco, um outro suspeito da China continental, que após investigação, verificou-se também estar ligado a outros 7 casos de penhora de fios de ouro falsos, envolvendo um montante total de cerca de 131 mil HKD.
Os quatro indivíduos confessaram o crime e foram presentes ao Ministério Público pelo crime de burla. A PJ continua a perseguir os restantes suspeitos e a apurar se existem mais vítimas.
