兩印尼籍男子涉加重盜竊被捕
2019年5月23日下午，本局接獲治安警察局轉介一宗加重盜竊案件。據查，案發當日中午，本案中的內地男事主於新馬路區某銀行提款13萬港元，並隨即將款項放入手提包，然後再放入背包內及拉好拉鏈。約一個多小時後，事主發現背包被打開，內裡的手提包亦被人盜去，事主報稱損失約13.3萬港元財物。
本局接報後展開調查，發現事主於提款期間，涉案兩名印尼籍男子已一直尾隨，直至事主等候紅綠燈橫過馬路時，其中一名涉案男子以雨傘掩護，讓同伙靠近事主進行盜竊。隨後，本局迅速鎖定兩名作案人身份，於5月24日在三盞燈區某大廈門外截獲上述二人，並以加重盜竊罪將之移送檢察院偵辦。
Two Indonesian men arrested for involvement in aggravated theft
On the afternoon of 23rd May 2019, the Judiciary Police received an aggravated theft case transferred by the Public Security Police Force. According to investigation, during noon time on the day of the incident, after withdrawing HKD130,000 in a bank at Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, the mainland male victim immediately put the fund into the handbag, which was later put into his backpack and was zipped properly. About an hour later, the victim discovered that his backpack was opened and the handbag inside was also stolen. The victim claimed a loss of properties valued around HKD133,000.
The Judiciary Police later launched an investigation after receiving the report. It was found that while the victim was withdrawing money, the two Indonesian men involved had all along tailed him. It was not until the victim waited at the traffic light to cross the road that one of the involved men used an umbrella as a cover-up to facilitate his accomplice to get close to the victim to commit the theft. Afterwards, the Judiciary Police swiftly verified the identities of the two offenders and intercepted the two outside a building in the Rotunda de Carlos da Maia on May 24th. Both of them were transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of aggravated theft.

Na tarde de 23 de Maio, a PJ recebeu um caso de furto qualificado transferido pelo CPSP. Conforme consta, naquela tarde, um homem da China continental levantou num banco, na Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, 130.000 HKD em dinheiro e pô-los na bolsa, de seguida, colocou a bolsa na mochila e puxou o fecho-éclair. Mais de uma hora depois, o homem descobriu que a mochila estava aberta e a bolsa tinha sido furtada, declarando um prejuízo de cerca de 133 mil HKD em objectos e notas.
Na investigação, verificou-se que o ofendido foi seguido por dois indonésios na altura em que estava a levantar dinheiro, e quando estava parado ao semáforo à espera para atravessar a rua, um dos suspeitos protegeu o outro com um guarda-chuva para aproximar-se da vítima e actuar. Os agentes conseguiram identificar com rapidez os dois ladrões, os quais foram detidos, no dia 24, à porta de um edifício na zona dos Três Candeeiros e foram presentes ao MP por furto qualificado.
