內地女子涉盜竊被捕
2019年3月6日，一名內地男子偕同女友來澳旅遊及賭博，在中區某娛樂場認識涉案內地女子，三人結伴賭博後一同返回男事主租住之房間，事主將29萬港元籌碼放在床頭櫃內；事主及其女友於當日下午外出，至晚上回房時發現籌碼不翼而飛，涉案女子亦失去蹤影。3月7日，事主成功聯絡涉案女子，並帶同該女子到本局報案。
調查期間，涉案女子承認盜去上述29萬港元籌碼後交予另一名男子兌換現金，該名男子已失去聯絡。本局以加重盜竊罪將涉案女子移交檢察院偵辦，並繼續追查其他涉案人士及贓款下落。
Mainland Chinese woman arrested for theft
A mainland Chinese man came to Macao with his girlfriend for travelling and gambling on 6th March 2019. He got acquainted with the involved mainland Chinese woman in a casino in the central district. The trio returned to the room that the man had rented for accommodation after gambling together. Having placed chips worth of HKD 290,000 inside the bedside cabinet, the male victim went out with his girlfriend in the same afternoon, only to find out that both the chips and the involved woman were gone when they returned at night. The victim managed to get in touch with the involved woman on March 7th, whom he took to the Judiciary Police to report the case.
During investigation, the involved woman admitted to have stolen the said HKD 290,000 chips, which she then handed to another man for cashing in. She had lost contact with the man. The Judiciary Police transferred the involved woman to the Public Prosecutions Office for the charge of aggravated theft, while continuing to pursue the other involved individuals and the whereabouts of the criminal proceeds.
