內地男子涉詐騙被拘
2019年1月5日，一名內地“換錢黨”與兩名男子相約在新口岸區某公園兌換貨幣，“換錢黨”將17.8萬元人民幣轉帳至對方提供的帳戶，隨即收取兩人20萬港元並進行點算；此時兩名男子立即拔腿逃走，“換錢黨”亦發現有關款項為偽鈔，遂立即追截，並在途人的協助下成功截獲其中一名涉案內地男子及報警求助。
本局接手調查及對檢獲鈔票進行鑑定，證實全部200張一千港元鈔票均為偽鈔，遂以詐騙罪及將假貨幣轉手罪將涉案內地男子移送檢察院處理，並繼續追查其餘在逃人士。
Mainland man arrested for involvement in fraud
On 5th January 2019, a “money exchange gangster” from mainland agreed to meet with two men in a park located at the ZAPE area for currency exchange. The “money exchange gangster” transferred RMB178,000 to a bank account provided by the two men, and received HKD200,000 from them forthwith. The “money exchange gangster” counted the money upon receipt, and at the same moment the two men instantly fled the scene. Simultaneously, the “money exchange gangster” discovered that the involved money was counterfeit currency. He therefore chased after them immediately, and successfully intercepted one of the involved mainland men with the aid of passers-by. He also reported to the police for help.
The Judiciary Police took over the investigation and conducted verification on the seized banknotes. It was verified that all the 200 pieces of banknotes, each with a face value of HKD1,000, were counterfeit currency. The Judiciary Police transferred the involved mainland man to the Public Prosecutions Office with the charges of fraud and passing on counterfeit currency, while pursuing the person at large.
Detido um homem da China continental por burla
No dia 5 de Janeiro de 2019, um “burlão da troca de dinheiro”, da China continental, combinou uma troca de moeda com dois homens num parque do NAPE, o “burlão” transferiu 178.000 RMB para uma conta indicada e recebeu logo 200.000 HKD em numerário, quando ele começou a contar o dinheiro, os dois fugiram, a vítima descobriu que as notas eram falsas, assim perseguiu-os e conseguiu apanhar um deles, com a ajuda de um transeunte, depois chamou a polícia.
A PJ começou a investigar, depois de ter feito uma peritagem, ficou apurado que as 200 notas de mil HKD eram falsas. O detido, da China continental, foi presente ao MP por burla e passagem de moeda falsa. A PJ continua à procura do outro cúmplice em fuga.
