緬甸籍女傭涉遺棄女嬰被捕
2018年12月13日，中區某單位戶主發現其緬甸籍女傭於洗手間內遺留血跡及血塊，且行為有異，遂向治安警察局求助；該名女傭向到場的治安警員否認曾經生產，治安警員為安全起見，將該名女傭送院檢查，期間女傭曾大量失血，須留院治療。
直至翌日清晨，戶主清理洗手間時聽到窗外有嬰兒哭聲，隨即報警，消防員到場後於窗外冷氣機槽位置救出一名初生女嬰，經送院搶救後女嬰情況穩定。
本局其後接手調查，綜合醫院醫療報告及本局刑事技術廳親子鑑定結果進行分析後，證實涉案女傭於上述單位誕下女嬰後將之棄置。涉案女傭於2018年12月16日康復出院，本局隨即將其拘捕，其承認犯罪，本局以棄置或遺棄罪將其移送檢察院偵辦。
Myanmarese maid arrested for abandoning an infant girl
On 13th December 2018, the householders of a residential unit in the Central district discovered that their Myanmarese maid, acting suspiciously, had left bloodstains and blood clots in the bathroom, thus sought assistance from the Public Security Police Force. The aforesaid female domestic helper denied having given birth while questioned by the Public Security Police officers arriving at the scene. For safety’s sake, she was taken to the hospital for examination by the police officers. In the meanwhile, the maid had suffered massive blood loss and had to be hospitalized for treatment.
Until the early morning next day, the householders heard baby’s cries outside the window when cleaning up the bathroom, thus reported to the police immediately. Upon arrival at the scene, the firefighters rescued a newborn female infant lying on the ledge of the external unit of an air-conditioner outside the bathroom’s window, who was in stable condition after being rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The Judiciary Police subsequently took up the case for investigation. Having consolidated the hospital’s medical report and the parentage test result by the Forensic Science Department of our Bureau for analysis, it was confirmed that the involved female domestic helper had given birth to the female infant at the aforementioned residential unit and abandoned her. The involved maid, discharged from the hospital upon recovery on 16th December 2018, was arrested by the Judiciary Police thereupon. She confessed to have committed the crime and was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of disposal or abandonment.
Detida uma empregada doméstica de nacionalidade birmanesa por abandono de uma bebé
No dia 13 de Dezembro de 2018, o proprietário de um apartamento na zona central, depois de descobrir vestígios e coágulos de sangue deixados na casa de banho pela empregada doméstica de nacionalidade birmanesa, que se comportava de maneira estranha, pediu ajuda à PSP. A empregada doméstica negou ter dado à luz a um bebé aos agentes que chegaram ao local, que, por precaução, encaminharam-na para um exame no hospital. Durante este período, a mulher sangroude forma abundante e precisou ser internada.
Na madrugada seguinte, quando o proprietário estava a fazer limpeza na casa de banho, ouviu o choro de um bebé do lado de fora da janela, chamou a polícia de imediato. Os bombeiros chegaram ao local e salvaram uma bebé recém-nascida que estava fora da janela ao pé da máquina do ar condicionado. Após ter sido levada para o hospital, a bebé ficou fora de perigo.
A PJ foi informada e iniciou a investigação, depois de feita uma análise combinada do relatório médico do hospital e do resultado do teste laboratorial de parentesco do Departamento de Ciências Forenses da PJ, confirmou-se que a suspeita abandonou a bebé que tinha acabado de dar à luz no referido apartamento. A mulher teve alta em 16 de Dezembro, foi detida de imediato e confessou o crime, foi assim presente ao MP acusada de exposição ou abandono.
