男外僱涉暴利被拘
2018年8月14日，某酒店印度籍保安員向本局報稱被尼泊爾籍保安主任要求代同事還債，證件亦被涉案保安主任扣押。
本局調查後發現涉案保安主任先後向三名保安員暴利放貸，向借款人收取每月7%利息及沒收護照作抵押。2018年8月16日，本局於路氹城區某酒店將其緝獲，並在其住所搜出事主及另一名保安員的護照。調查顯示，涉案男子於2017年開始從事暴利放貸活動，不法得益約6.6萬港元。本局以暴利罪及不當扣留證件罪將涉案男子移交檢察院偵訊。
Male non-resident worker arrested for involvement in profiteering
On 14th August 2018, an Indian security guard of a hotel reported to the Judiciary Police that, he was asked by his Nepalese security supervisor to pay the debt for his colleague, and his identification document was withheld by the involved security supervisor.
After investigation, the Judiciary Police found out that, the involved security supervisor had been profiteering by loaning money to 3 security guards in succession. The security supervisor charged the borrowers 7% interest per month and confiscated their passports as collaterals. On 16th August 2018, the security supervisor was intercepted by the Judiciary Police at a hotel in the Cotai district, and the passports of the victim and another security guard were seized in his residence. Investigation showed that the involved man had been engaging in loan sharking activities since 2017. The amount of illicit proceeds was around HKD66,000. The Judiciary Police transferred the involved man to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offences of profiteering and inappropriate withholding of identification document.

No dia 14 de Agosto de 2018, a PJ recebeu a denúncia de um segurança de um hotel, de nacionalidade indiana, dizendo que um chefe de segurança nepalês lhe pediu para devolver a dívida de um seu colega, e ficou com o seu documento de identificação.
Na investigação, apurou-se que aquele chefe de segurança tinha emprestado o dinheiro a três seguranças em forma de usura cobrando-lhes 7% de juros mensalmente, e tinha retido os seus passaportes como garantia. O suspeito foi detido num hotel do Cotai no dia 16 de Agosto de 2018, e no seu apartamento, foram encontrados os passaportes do denunciante e de um outro segurança. Segundo a investigação, o suspeito começou a praticar usura em 2017 e o valor do montante ilegalmente obtido foi de 66 mil HKD. O detido foi presente ao MP por usura e retenção indevida de documentos de identificação.
