美籍華漢搶劫未遂就逮
2018年2月25日，內地男事主於路氹城區某娛樂場賭博後，將50萬港元籌碼兌換成現金後乘搭升降機離開，在升降機內被涉案男子以不明液體噴向臉部和企圖搶劫，事主抱緊財物及高聲呼救，最終成功脫險，沒有損失；涉案男子見事敗迅即逃去。
本局接報後展開調查，同日於該娛樂場外某餐廳將涉案男子截獲，並搜出三支胡椒噴霧。涉案男子承認犯罪，本局以搶劫、禁用武器等罪將其移送檢察院偵辦。
Chinese American man arrested for attempted robbery
On 25th February 2018, the mainland male victim cashed out HKD 500,000 of casino chips after gambling in a casino in the Cotai district, then took the elevator to leave. In the elevator, he was sprayed on his face with an unknown liquid by the involved man, who intended to conduct robbery. The victim managed to clutch onto his belongings and cry for help, and was thus eventually safe without any loss incurred. The involved man fled after the attempt had gone in vain.
Having initiated an investigation upon receiving the report, the Judiciary Police intercepted the involved man in a restaurant outside the casino on the same day, and found three canisters of pepper spray. The involved man admitted to committing the crime, and was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offences of robbery and prohibited weapons.

No dia 25 de Fevereiro de 2018, o homem da China continental depois de jogar num casino do Cotai, trocou 500 mil HKD de fichas em dinheiro e apanhou um elevador para sair. Dentro do elevador, um indivíduo terá pulverizado um líquido desconhecido na cara da vítima para tentar roubar-lhe o dinheiro, mas a vítima agarrou fortemente o dinheiro e gritou socorro, conseguiu defender os seus pertences e não houve qualquer prejuízo. O indivíduo fugiu após o fracasso.
Na investigação, o suspeito foi interceptado, no mesmo dia, num restaurante fora daquele casino, foram apreendidos na sua posse 3 garafinhas com gás pimenta. Ele confessou e foi presente ao MP por roubo e uso de armas proibidas.
