本局接獲氹仔某賭場報案，指一名男莊荷涉嫌串同三名賭客侵佔娛樂場的籌碼。本局接報後派員監視，查悉該名涉案男莊荷在找換小面額籌碼或派發彩金時，故意多派籌碼予賭枱上的同黨，作案後，三名分別來自台灣、湖北及湖南的同黨獲得50%利潤，其餘50%的贓款全歸涉案男莊荷所有。12月23日，本局人員將其拘捕，當天其成功侵佔了15萬港元籌碼。本局在其住所檢獲25萬元現金及12萬元籌碼。本局以公務上侵佔罪名把上述四人移送檢察院偵辦。
Casino dealer and three accomplices arrested for chip fraud
The Judiciary Police received a report from a casino in Taipa that a male dealer was suspected of conspiring with three patrons to embezzle chips from the casino. The Judiciary Police sent officers to monitor them after receiving the report, and found out that the male dealer deliberately delivered extra chips to his accomplices at the gambling table when he was exchanging small-domination chips or distributing the winning chips. After committing the crime, the three accomplices from Taiwan, Hubei and Hunan respectively acquired a profit of 50% and the involved male dealer acquired the remaining 50%. On December 23rd, the Judiciary Police officers arrested the dealer, who had embezzled HK$150,000 worth of chips on that day successfully. The Judiciary Police seized $250,000 in cash and $120,000 worth of chips from his residence. The Judiciary Police transferred the above four persons to the Public Prosecutions Office with the charge of work-related embezzlement.

A PJ recebeu uma queixa feita por um casino da Taipa acerca de um croupier que se apropriava de fichas em conluio com três jogadores. Depois de investigar, foi descoberto que o visado oferecia, de propósito, na mesa de jogo, aos seus parceiros mais fichas do que era devido, durante a troca de fichas de pequeno valor ou na distribuição dos prémios ganhos. No esquema, os três indivíduos, provenientes respectivamente de Taiwan, Hubei e Hunan, partilhavam 50% dos lucros e o croupier ficava com os restantes 50%. Os quatro foram detidos em 23 de Dezembro quando estavam a repetir o esquema e se tinham apropriado com êxito de fichas num valor de 150 mil HK$. A PJ apreendeu de seguida, no apartamento do croupier, 250 mil HK$ em numerário e fichas no valor de 120 mil HK$. Todos foram presentes ao MP por peculato.
