內地漢涉高利貸及禁錮被拘
2024年8月21日，本局接獲一名男子報稱向他人借取高利貸且曾遭禁錮在路氹城區一酒店房間內。本局博彩罪案調查處隨即展開調查，並在上述酒店房間內截獲涉案內地男子。
經查，事主於8月20日傍晚在路氹城區一娛樂場內向涉案內地男子的同黨借款10萬港元賭博，條件為每當賭局勝出時須抽取投注額兩成作利息，以及簽署借據。事主同意後被帶到新口岸區一娛樂場賭博，期間涉案內地男子及其同黨抽取了7.5萬港元利息，直至21日凌晨事主賭敗後被帶到路氹城區一酒店房間並由涉案內地男子禁錮，其後事主伺機逃走並向酒店保安員求助。
本局根據調查所得，以為賭博的高利貸罪及剝奪他人行動自由罪將涉案內地男子移送檢察院偵辦，並繼續追緝其餘在逃涉案人。
Mainland man arrested for usury and detention
On 21st August 2024, the Judiciary Police received a complaint from a man, alleging that he had been detained inside a hotel guest room in Cotai district after borrowing money from usurers. The Gaming-related Crimes Division of the Judiciary Police forthwith launched investigation, and intercepted the involved mainland man inside the aforementioned hotel guest room.
Investigation revealed that the victim had borrowed HKD100,000 for gambling from the accomplice of the involved mainland man inside a casino in Cotai district on the evening of August 20th, on the condition that 20% of the wager of each winning game had to be withdrawn as interest, and an IOU had to be signed. Upon consent, the victim was escorted to a casino in ZAPE district for gambling, during which an interest of HKD75,000 had been withdrawn by the involved mainland man and his accomplice. It was until the wee hours of August 21st when the victim had gambled away all the money, he was taken to a hotel guest room in Cotai district for detention by the involved mainland man. Afterwards, the victim took an opportunity to flee and seek assistance from the hotel security guards.
Based on investigative results, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved mainland man to the Public Prosecutions Office with the charges of usury and deprivation of other's freedom of movement, while continuing to pursue the remaining involved persons at large.

No dia 21 de Agosto de 2024, a PJ recebeu queixa de um homem, onde dizia que tinha pedido um empréstimo a um agiota e foi sequestrado num quarto de um hotel no Cotai. A Divisão de Investigação de Crimes relacionados com o Jogo iniciou a investigação e deteve um homem da RPC naquele quarto.
Apurou-se que ao anoitecer de 20 de Agosto, a vítima pediu um empréstimo de 100.000 HK$ a um cúmplice do suspeito num casino do Cotai para jogar e com as condições de deduzir 20% das apostas ganhas como juro, bem como assinar um talão de empréstimo. Com consentimento da vítima, esta foi levada para um casino do ZAPE para jogar e, durante o jogo, o suspeito e seu cúmplice cobraram-lhe 75.000 HK$ como juro. Na madrugada do dia 21, depois da vítima ter perdido todo o dinheiro no jogo, foi levada para um quarto de um hotel no Cotai onde foi sequestrada pelo suspeito. Mais tarde, aproveitando uma oportunidade, a vítima fugiu e pediu ajuda ao segurança do hotel.
Conforme apurado, o detido foi presente ao MP acusado de usura para jogo e sequestro e, por outro lado, a PJ continua a procurar outros envolvidos em fuga.
