內地男子涉兌換詐騙就逮
2024年4月2日,本局經濟罪案調查處接獲治安警察局轉交的一宗詐騙案,案中內地男事主報稱於3月28日在路氹城區一娛樂場認識從事非法兌換活動的涉案內地男子,兩人議定合作進行兌換活動,由男事主負責出資,涉案男子提供客源,事成後平分利潤。
直至4月1日下午,涉案男子訛稱有身處路氹城區一娛樂場內的客人需要兌換150,000港元,獲男事主交付港元現金後進入娛樂場,其後失聯;涉案男子於同日晚上主動聯絡男事主,表示已將全部款項輸光,其後男事主帶同涉案男子向治安警察局報案。
經調查,證實涉案內地男子將事主交付的150,000港元現金在娛樂場內輸掉。本局以詐騙(相當巨額)罪將涉案內地男子移送檢察院偵辦。
Mainland man arrested for currency exchange fraud
On 2nd April 2024, the Economic Crimes Division of the Judiciary Police received a case of fraud from the Public Security Police Force, in which the mainland male victim reported that he had got acquainted with the involved mainland man, who had been engaging in illegal currency exchange activities, on March 28th in a casino in the Cotai district. The duo agreed to work in complicity on currency exchange activities. The male victim was responsible for contributing the capital while the involved man would provide customer source, with the profits split equally between them after the transactions.
Until the afternoon of April 1st, the involved man falsely claimed that a customer inside a casino in the Cotai district needed to exchange for HKD150,000. The involved man entered the casino after the male victim had handed him the HKD cash, and could no longer be reached later. The involved man took the initiative to contact the male victim on the night of the same day, indicating that he had already gambled away all the money. The male victim subsequently took the involved man to report to the Public Security Police Force.
Investigation established that the involved mainland man had gambled away the HKD150,000 cash handed to him by the victim in the casino. The Judiciary Police transferred the involved mainland man to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of fraud (considerably huge amount).
Detido um homem da China continental por burla de troca de dinheiro
No dia 2 de Abril de 2024, a Divisão de Investigação de Crimes Económicos recebeu um caso de burla transferido pelo CPSP, no qual a vítima do sexo masculino, da China continental, disse que conheceu um homem, também do continente, que trabalhava em actividades de troca ilegal de dinheiro, num casino no Cotai, em 28 de Março, e que tinham combinado em cooperar em actividades de câmbio, a vítima era responsável pelo financiamento, enquanto o homem, envolvido no caso, pelo fornecimento dos clientes, os lucros iriam ser divididos igualmente após concluída a transacção.
Na tarde de 1 de Abril, o suspeito disse falsamente que havia um cliente que estava num casino do Cotai e necessitava trocar 150.000 dólares de Hong Kong, e após obtido o dinheiro da vítima este entrou no casino, mas a vítima não conseguiu mais contactá-lo. Naquela mesma noite, o suspeito contactou a vítima por sua iniciativa, disse que tinha perdido todo o dinheiro ao jogo, a vítima levou o suspeito para fazer queixa no CPSP.
Na investigação confirmou-se que o suspeito perdeu os 150.000 HKD entregues pela vítima no casino, assim foi presente ao Ministério Público por burla (valor consideravelmente elevado).
