內地男子涉兌換貨幣詐騙被拘
2023年11月9日晚上,本局接獲治安警察局通知,路氹城區一酒店發生懷疑兌換貨幣詐騙案,經濟罪案調查處人員跟進調查。
案情顯示,內地男事主於案發當日透過社交軟件相約一名從事非法兌換的人士在上述酒店大堂兌換貨幣;及後,涉案內地男子前來與男事主進行交易,待對方將189,100元人民幣轉帳至指定的銀行帳戶後,即交出一疊港元鈔票,男事主點算時發現該疊鈔票中只有一張為真鈔,其餘均為俗稱“練功券”的假鈔,隨即通知酒店保安員協助報警。
本局於11月10日將涉案男子拘捕,其承認受他人指使帶同上述“練功券”來澳作案,事成後可獲一萬元報酬。本局根據調查所得,以詐騙(相當巨額)罪將之移送檢察院偵辦。
Mainland man nabbed for involvement in currency exchange fraud
On the night of 9th November 2023, the Judiciary Police was notified by the Public Security Police Force of a suspected case of currency exchange fraud that had taken place at a hotel in the Cotai district. Personnel of the Economic Crimes Division followed up with the investigation.
Case details revealed that, on the day when the case happened, via a social networking software, the mainland male victim scheduled to meet an individual engaging in illegal currency exchange at the aforesaid hotel lobby for currency exchange. Subsequently, the involved mainland man went to the place to meet the male victim for the deal. After the victim had transferred RMB189,100 to a designated bank account, the involved man handed him a stack of Hong Kong dollar banknotes immediately. While counting the banknotes, the male victim discovered that only one of the banknotes was genuine, and the rest were counterfeit banknotes commonly known as “practice vouchers”. The male victim informed the hotel security guard instantly for assistance in reporting to the police.
On November 10th, the Judiciary Police apprehended the involved man, who confessed that he had been instructed by somebody to bring the abovementioned “practice vouchers” with him to Macao for crime perpetration. Upon completion of the mission, he would be rewarded with $10,000. Based on the investigative findings, the Judiciary Police transferred him to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of fraud (considerably huge amount).
Detido um homem da China continental envolvido numa burla de troca de dinheiro
Na noite de 9 de Novembro de 2023, a PJ recebeu uma notificação do CPSP acerca de uma burla de troca de dinheiro num hotel do Cotai, assim, o pessoal da Divisão de Investigação de Crimes Económicos iniciou a investigação.
Conforme o que foi apurado na investigação, no dia da ocorrência, um homem da China continental, vítima deste caso, através das redes sociais, combinou um encontro com um indivíduo que fazia troca ilegal de dinheiro para se encontrar no átrio do hotel acima referido. O suspeito, da China continental, foi ao local para efectuar a transacção com a vítima. Depois de a vítima ter depositado 189.100 RMB numa conta bancária predefinida, o suspeito entregou-lhe um maço de notas de HKD. Quando a vítima fez a contagem de notas, notou que só havia uma nota verdadeira e as outras eram falsas (estampadas com “練功劵”), assim, pediu imediatamente a intervenção dos guardas de segurança do hotel que chamaram a polícia.
No dia 10 de Novembro, o suspeito foi detido, este admitiu ter actuado com aquelas notas falsas em Macau de acordo com as indicações de um terceiro, e disse que poderia ganhar 10.000 HK$ após feita a transacção. De acordo com as provas obtidas na investigação, o detido foi presente ao MP por burla (valor consideravelmente elevado).
