女莊荷涉盜取籌碼被捕
2021年7月12日,本局接獲路氹城區某娛樂場檢舉,指一名女莊荷利用職務之便盜取娛樂場籌碼。
本局調查後確定涉案女子的身份,於7月13日在上述娛樂場將其截獲;其承認自2021年4月開始,在當值期間多次將一萬港元籌碼藏於掌心再故意掉在地上,並趁監場主任不為意時,將籌碼拾起後藏於鞋襪內帶走,以此方式盜得至少140萬港元籌碼。涉案女子將部份盜取的款項用於還債及日常消費,餘款則放在座駕內,本局人員隨後在其座駕起回73萬港元籌碼。根據娛樂場錄像資料顯示,涉案女子由2021年6月至被捕時作案已達24次。
本局以公務上之侵占罪將涉案女子移送檢察院偵辦,並繼續追查贓款去向,另就有關高利貸犯罪開立卷宗調查。
Female croupier arrested for stealing chips
On 12th July 2021, the Judiciary Police received a complaint from a casino in the Cotai district, alleging that a female croupier had taken advantage of her position to steal chips of the casino.
Subsequent to investigation, the Judiciary Police confirmed the identity of the involved woman and intercepted her at the aforementioned casino on July 13th. She admitted to have hidden a HKD10,000 chip in her palm before deliberately dropping it on the ground on multiple occasions while on duty since April 2021. She picked up the chips, hid them in her shoes and socks and snuck them out when the pit supervisor was off guard. At least HKD1.4 million of chips had been stolen with such modus operandi. The involved woman spent some of the stolen money on debt repayment and daily expenses, while the remaining sum was placed inside her vehicle, and the Judiciary Police personnel later recovered HKD730,000 of chips therein. According to the video footage of the casino, the involved woman had committed the crime for 24 times from June 2021 to the time when she was arrested.
The Judiciary Police transferred the involved woman to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of work-related embezzlement, while continuing to pursue the whereabouts of the proceeds of crime and a dossier was established for investigation of usury crime.
Detida uma croupier por furto de fichas
No dia 12 de Julho de 2021, a PJ recebeu uma denúncia de um casino do Cotai indicando que uma croupier, aproveitando da sua posição, furtou fichas do casino.
Na investigação, confirmámos a identidade da mulher em causa, detivemo-la no referido casino em 13 de Julho. Esta confessou que desde Abril de 2021, durante o serviço, escondeu, por várias vezes, fichas no de valor 10.000 HKD na mão, deixava cair a ficha propositadamente no chão, aproveitava a distração do supervisor para pegar a ficha e escondê-a no sapato ou na meia, furtando desta maneira fichas num valor de 1,4 milhões de HKD. A suspeita utilizou parte do dinheiro obtido das fichas na liquidação de dívidas e despesas quotidianas, tendo sido as restantes fichas, num valor de 730.000 HKD, colocadas no seu veículo, onde posteriormente, foram recuperadas pela PJ. Segundo as gravações de videovigilância do casino, desde Junho de 2021 até a sua detenção, a suspeita tinha actuado 24 vezes.
A suspeita foi presente ao Ministério Público por peculato, a PJ continua a investigar o paradeiro das fichas furtadas, e instaurou um processo de investigação sobre o crime de agiotagem.
