The Intelligence and Support Department performs the following functions: preventing and investigating crimes indicated by Paragraph 1 of Article 7 of Law no. 5/2006; organizing, installing, operating and maintaining the automated registration system which handles policing and criminal information, facilitating the investigation of crimes that fall within the scope of the Judiciary Police; devising strategic plans for combating crimes.
Intelligence Consolidation Division
The Intelligence Consolidation Division performs the following functions: gathering, evaluating, processing, examining and analyzing criminal intelligence; managing, maintaining and developing the criminal intelligence network and system.
Operations Support Division
The Operations Support Division backs up all investigative units of the Judiciary Police, particularly in preventing crimes of triad societies, organized crimes or terrorism activities.
Technical Investigation Division
Under the authorization and supervision of the judicial authorities, the Technical Investigation Division is empowered to utilize technical equipment to support the investigation operations conducted by the various investigative units of the Judiciary Police.
Special Investigation Division
The Special Investigation Division is empowered to investigate crimes conferred by law or assigned by relevant authorities, and publicize for the prevention of such crimes.
