The Judiciary Police's Case Reporting and Emergency Operation Centre operates on a 24-hour system. The Case Reporting and Emergency Operation Centre's investigator will be on duty throughout the night. Due to reasons of internal work and security, the main door of our COTAI Sub-bureau will be closed from 8 pm to 8 am. If required, the general public can press the door bell to make a police report or request for assistance at any time.

The Youth Concern Group was established in February 2000, and is manned with chief coordinators, coordinators of criminal investigation and investigators of the Judiciary Police. Its duties are: to study the characteristics of juvenile delinquency in Macao, and work out adequate responses; to communicate and work together with the youth community through their schools and associations, and coach them to be law abiding citizens and to show them the right concept of life; and to ensure that they distance themselves from criminal activities. The differences between the good and the evil are also taught.

The Administrative Centre is subordinate to the Human resourses and Administration Division. It is responsible for the handling of administrative documents, including the application of Case Reporting Certificate.

Once you have lodged a crime report at the Judiciary Police station, a Complaint Notification will be issued to you on the spot. Should you or concerned parties require a Case Reporting Certificate (issued by the Criminal Investigation Department) after statement taking, you can submit an application at the Administrative Centre during office hours. In the case of non-office hours, you could make an application at the Case Reporting and Emergency Operation Centre at our Headquarters or COTAI Sub-bureau.

Ranking as a department within the framework of the Judiciary Police, the Reception and Complaints Centre is under direct supervision of the Directorate. All suggestions and complaints made by the public are submitted directly to the Director. This body holds the sole authority to make assessments of such suggestions and complaints.
This practice was adopted to keep in absolute confidentiality the information and complaints that the directors handle, and allows it to take swift measures to discipline our staff members who are in breach of the laws.

A telephone recording service is provided to public who wish to make complaints and suggestions outside normal office hours.

The Police-Community Relations Research Group is a unit under the Community Policing and Public Relations Division, and directly held accountable to the director. Committed to facilitate police-community interactions, this research unit aims to boost the rule of law among the public and improve enforcement efficiency. The group seeks to pool extensive information on community policing and give problem assessment. In return, it provides basic legal consultation and promotes legal awareness in the public. On top of these, the group also furnishes the directorate decision references with timely reports and recommendations aimed at meliorating community-police relations. Endeavored to induce positive interactions, this research group, in line with law, strives to bring the best out in community engagement for better delivery of police services, and to solidify the belief of social order and community governance.

Established in January 2010 by the Judiciary Police, the Crime Prevention Team for Residential Buildings aims to promptly identify crime trends of residential buildings, as well as to collect intelligence for the management to devise effective strategies for the prevention and tackling of crime. This unit is also charged with the duty to promote community policing through stronger communication between security personnel and residents to uphold the safety of neighbourhoods. This team is composed of investigators selected from various units of the Judiciary Police and is commanded by our Subdirector Mr. Chau Wai Kuong. The unit has 2 teams of personnel who assume extra duties of carrying out regular and random inspections of crime-prone buildings, for the immediate recognition and collection of crime information, thereby assisting the police to fight crime. If you have any concerns over the security of your building and the neighbourhood, please contact our Crime Prevention Team for Residential Buildings immediately.
